The Axiom Brass Quintet Concert coordinated by Friends of Chamber Music was a free event for the Bryan/College Station community to enjoy with their friends and family. Volunteering at this event was unique to others because I was able to really interact with the guests by conducting interviews during intermission. At this event, I learned how important it is to ask for feedback from your guests to learn what they enjoyed and what you can do to improve your next event.

-
Greet Marathon Runners

Distribute Bibs
Oktoberfest is a marathon and half-marathon event hosted by Compete College Station for the Bryan/College Station community. The purpose of the event was to bring the community together and encourage it to be active. As a volunteer the day before the marathons, I was distributing bibs to the marathon runners to prepare them for their race the next day. This experience taught me how important it is to have an organized check-in process for your attendees to avoid frustration, mistakes, or the risk of having your event start late.

It was an event targeted towards future brides, grooms, and their families. This event was so much fun and a great networking opportunity. As a volunteer at this event, I learned how much manpower it takes to put on a wedding. There were so many different vendors with so many different services in attendance which really put the effort of coordinating a wedding into perspective.

The Friends of Chamber Music, Harp and Violin concert was a free event hosted for the Bryan/College Station community, specifically for those interested in this kind of classical music. At this event, I learned how willing people will be to follow mask requirements at an event if you ask them to. Because the attendance at this event was mostly senior citizens, masks were required to attend, and there were no complaints.

The black and vibrant styled shoot was a beautiful mock wedding where different vendors came together to showcase their products and services. The goal was for the shoot to be published in a wedding magazine to attract future potential clients. This event was a great learning experience because I was able to somewhat experience what it would be like to coordinate an entire wedding, and all of the different things that could be included in one. It was amazing to see everyone's efforts come together in the end.

This is the first event I have helped coordinate in all aspects from start to finish. Tee Off for REACH was an event where participants got to hit some golf balls on the range, enjoy some games, and a delicious lunch. This event was a great learning experience because it was a lot smaller than others I have volunteered at, but there was still a large amount of planning and preparation that went into it.
